Surgery

Spays and neuters are an important part of the control of numbers of pets and the burdens the numbers put onto our society and the humane societies. Surgery fees for these 'routine procedures'are about half the 'actual costs' for similar surgeries so we feel we are helping with the animal population control. Spays and neuters are also important in preventing many hormone driven diseases such as mammary, uterine, testicular and prostate diseases or behaviour problems such as roaming and spraying.

We also do many other surgical procedures, including suturing wounds, tumor removals, minor orthopedic procedures and intestinal foreign body removals, to name a few.

For more advanced surgical operations we have a specialized veterinary surgeon who visits our practice and can perform most procedures that would be too difficult for the general practitioner.
