We take pride in the high level of comfort and safety experienced by our anaesthetic patients. We recommend preanaesthetic blood testing for most pets. Using only the safest drugs available, like isoflurane, propofol, and butorphanol, intravenous fluids, as well as careful monitoring with ECG’s, blood pressure monitors, respiratory monitors, and constant manual supervision, makes anaesthesia very safe. The comment “too old” no longer applies to anaesthesia. We use the same anesthetics that are currently recommended as a standard in human hospitals today. Patient comfort is essential to us and pain medications are administered for all painful procedures.
